CombCast Advertiser Terms

Last updated DATE

These terms apply when you buy an ad spot on CombCast screens, through a CombCast agent's payment link. They add to our Terms of Service. By paying, you agree to them. CombCast is operated by COMPANY LEGAL NAME, ADDRESS, CONTACT EMAIL.

1. What you are buying

  • A spot in the ad rotation on the screen(s) listed in your quote, for the dates listed.
  • Your ad plays in turn with other ads and any venue content on that screen. Images show for about 10 seconds per turn; videos play in full.
  • Your quote shows the screens, dates, price and tax. The price is held until the time shown on the payment page. After that, the screens and dates may be released.

2. No guaranteed audience

We do not guarantee any number of plays, viewers, impressions, visits or sales. Venue hours, traffic, the number of other ads in rotation, and screen downtime all affect how often and by whom your ad is seen.

3. Screen downtime

Screens can go offline because of power or internet outages, hardware faults, venue closures or maintenance. We and your agent will work to fix problems promptly. If a screen is down for a significant part of your paid period, contact your agent or us — see the Refund Policy for credits.

4. Your content

  • You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything in your ad (images, video, music, logos, people's likenesses), and that it is truthful and lawful.
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP images; MP4, WEBM video. Screens have no sound unless the venue turns it on — design your ad to work silently.
  • You keep ownership of your content and give us permission to store, resize and play it on CombCast screens for your booking.

5. Prohibited ads

Ads must not include or promote:

  • anything illegal, or illegal products or services;
  • tobacco, vaping or cannabis products; TO CONFIRM: alcohol (allowed only where the venue agrees and provincial rules are followed);
  • gambling, unless licensed and allowed by provincial law and the venue;
  • adult, sexual or explicit content;
  • weapons, drugs or drug paraphernalia;
  • hate, harassment, discrimination or violence;
  • political or issue advertising TO CONFIRM — note election advertising rules;
  • false, misleading or unproven claims (including health or financial claims), or "get rich" offers;
  • content that infringes someone else's rights or uses their personal information without consent;
  • flashing or strobing effects that could cause discomfort or health risks;
  • content unsuitable for a family-friendly public space, or that competes with or embarrasses the hosting venue TO CONFIRM venue veto.

6. Our right to review and remove

We, your agent and the venue may review ads. We may refuse, ask you to change, pause or remove any ad that breaks these terms, the law, or a venue's reasonable standards — before or during your run. If we remove an ad that followed these terms, see the Refund Policy. If we remove an ad that broke them, no refund is owed.

7. Scheduling

  • Your ad starts on the start date and stops automatically after the end date.
  • Ads appear in rotation during the screen's normal operating hours, which depend on the venue.
  • Booked dates for a spot are never sold to another advertiser at the same time.

8. Payment

  • Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable sales tax. Payment is processed by our payment processor.
  • Your booking is confirmed only when payment is received.

9. Liability

The liability limits in our Terms of Service apply. You are responsible for your ad content and agree to cover our reasonable losses from claims caused by it.
